Effective date: October 20, 2026
Deckline DJ collects no data. It has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising. Your music, your mixes and everything the app learns about your tracks stay on your device.
Files you import are copied into the app's own folder on your device. Tempo, beat grid, key, loudness and waveform analysis, and vocal and music separation, all run on your device. Your music is never uploaded.
If you choose to import songs from the Music app, iOS asks for permission to access your music library. Deckline copies only the songs you pick, on your device.
Deckline DJ connects to the internet in only two cases, both started by you: to download the stem model, and when you search in Find a Track.
The app downloads the vocal and music separation model the first time you split a track or when you choose a different model in Settings. The model files come from Hugging Face (huggingface.co), a public model-hosting service. The request asks only for the model file; it contains nothing about you or your music. As with any web request, Hugging Face's servers see your device's IP address, under Hugging Face's privacy policy. The downloaded files are checked and kept on your device.
When you search in Find a Track, your search words go straight from your device to the iTunes Store (Apple), Audius, ccMixter and the Internet Archive, which send back matching tracks and their prices. The iTunes Store request also includes your device's region so it can show local prices. The requests contain nothing else about you, your library or your music. Each service sees your device's IP address, under its own privacy policy. Your searches never reach us, and the app does not keep them after you close the library.
Previews you play stream from the same services. Tapping a price or a store link opens that store's app or website, where its own terms and privacy policy apply. Deckline does not sell music and earns nothing from these links.
Deckline DJ never uses the microphone or the camera, and never asks for access to them.
Mix recording starts only when you tap the record button and captures the app's own output, not the microphone. Recordings are saved in the app's folder on your device. If you share one, it goes where you choose to send it, under that service's own terms. Deckline does not upload or send recordings to us or anyone else.
Your settings, cue points and analysis results are kept in the app on your device. Deleting the app deletes them. We have no access to them.
Deckline DJ contains no third-party SDKs. Apart from the requests described above, which you start, it sends nothing to third parties. It does not track you across apps or websites.
Deckline DJ is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details.
Deckline DJ collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
If this privacy policy changes, we will update the effective date above.
